Bezuidenhout is a densely populated, yet quiet 1930s neighborhood with many typical Hague houses and flats. The neighborhood is one of the most popular neighborhoods among young families, young adults, expats and singles.
Hip, young and popular
Bezuidenhout is a popular district amongst the younger public and singles. The 2nd largest office district is located in Bezuidenhout. Mostly big multinationals and government organizations work from here. During your break you can go to the shopping street “Theresiastraat” for a sandwich or a drink. If you want to go for a stroll you can simply walk into the beautiful Haagse Bos. From the neighborhood you can walk directly to the city center through The Hague Central. Where a lot of clothing shops and restaurants can be found. You can also take a tram from The Hague Central to the official English embassy. There are also plenty of restaurants and fun bars for the younger crowd. A lot of these can be found in the Theresiastraat. In this street you will find supermarkets on one hand and shops and restaurants on the other. Bezuidenhout is richly endowed with childcare. It’s also possible to choose a nanny in the neighborhood. For the young families the universities Hogeschool InHolland and the The Hague Campus of University Leiden are located here.
